Faith! You Go First!

Faith. We all want it. But for me, how come it is that when it comes
to using my faith it's as though I forgot to read the instructions or
need to see someone else go before me? It's not going to blow
up in my face right?

I had dinner tonight with a new friend of mine. I took a step of faith
and joined a life group. Why did that take faith? Because lately it is
hard for me to build new relationships with people. Yeah it's wierd I
know. But just play along would you. So I joined and it's awesome. So in this life group I meet Dan.

Dan is a well accomplished professional who has striking similarities
to me in a ton of ways. I think we can connect and really speak into
each others lives through the circumstances we've gone through.

I wouldn't have meet Dan at the life group if I would have chickened
out and not gone. So I just had to do it. You know, take a step of
faith. I had to be active about it all. I had to take a step to
activate my faith. I like analogies so here's one. It's like you know there is something wonderful on the otherside of a door. You just know it. Well maybe you do. But there is no way of knowing unless you what? Open the door! You can't stand there and wish for it to open. Whishing doesn't do anything. It really gets you know where. you have to walk towards it, you then need to turn the knob, push the door open and then you get to see what is on the other side. Wishing is static, it moves you no where.

So here is another little analogy. Shoot me, if you want it's my blog.Faith is kinds like playing catch with just yourself and a brick wall. If your gonna catch the ball, first you have to throw it
away for it to bounce back. You have to put it in motion for the thing
to work. It will come back every time. Just don't throw a ball if there is a door nearby. That's another scenario entirely. Here's an analogy..... ah just kidding.
